San
Juan is the smallest component city of Metro Manila
with a land area of only 6 square kilometers. It is
located at the center of the metropolis -bordered by
Manila, Quezon City and Mandaluyong. It was once
part of Rizal province. It is named in honor of
their patron saint, St. John the Baptist and is
celebrated every June 24th by drowsing the streets
(including people) with water during the town
fiesta. Places of interest to tourist and visitors
to the city include: the Pinaglabanan Shrine,
Greenhills Shopping Center, the Tanghalan ng Masa,
Club Filipino, Agora Complex and numerous bars,
restaurants, night clubs and other recreational
facilities. |
