The
City of Valenzuela is one of the component cities
comprising Metro Manila area. It is located on the
northern portion of the metropolis bordering Bulacan
province. The town was named after Pío Valenzuela.
He was a one of the leaders of the Katipunan and a
doctor. Valenzuela is a diminutive term of Valencia
(town in Spain) meaning "little Valencia".
Interesting places in town for tourist and visitors
are: The belfry & church of San Diego de Alcala,
Museo Valenzuela, National Shrine of Our Lady of
Fatima, Libingan ng mga Hapon (Japanese cemetery),
Valenzuela Astrodome and Convention Center. Not to
miss is the Mano Po San Roque Festival every 12th of
