Taguig is one of the component cities of Metro
Manila. Located south of Makati City with Laguna Bay on
its south, it was once a fishing town but with the
opening of C5 highway (and soon C6) and the
development of the up-scale Bonifacio Global City, it is now a
fast developing urbanized city with glimmering
skyscrapers, modern malls, shopping centers, hotels
and business establishments. Points of interest for
visitors and tourist to the city are: Bonifacio
Global City, Market Market mall, Veterans' Museum,
The Blue Mosque, Shrine of St. Anne (one of the
country's oldest churches built in 1587), Dambanang
Kawayan (bamboo church) and the Department of
Science and Technology's eco-tourism park with a
mini forest in Bicutan. |
